Export-Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited (EXIM Bank) has become one of the leading private commercial banks in Bangladesh with its envious success. The bank started its operation as a commercial bank on August 3, 1999, under the rules and regulations of Bangladesh Bank.
In the beginning, People knew it as BEXIM Bank Limited. Later, the bank changed its name to EXIM Bank, which stood for Export-Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited.
The bank has spread its business operation across the country with 131 branches and 126 ATM booths. Moreover, The Bank has 25 A.D. branches across the country. By July 2004, the bank turned all of its conventional banking operations into Shariah-based Islamic banking.
As an Islamic bank in Bangladesh, EXIM Bank expanded its all Islamic banking services, including a wide range of saving and investment products, foreign exchange, and ancillary services with the support of sophisticated I.T. and professional management.
The bank invests in various sectors of the country. The sectors are textiles, edible oil, ready-made garments, chemicals, cement, telecommunication, steel, real estate, and other service industries, including general trade finance.
